WELCOME TO MY WEBSITE

The image is of me, Ian Barker, professional musician playing at a wedding reception – a distraction from my main occupation which is guitar teacher.   I studied the guitar at Leeds College of Music and since then I have taught a wide range of students of all ages and abilities, and this includes some  local guitar tutors.  With 30 years experience behind me I believe that I  have developed into a competent teacher – one who recognises the need to give continual support and encouragement to my students whether they are studying for grades or simply playing the guitar as a hobby.
